Lesson Objectives:
I will be able to:
- Make observations from text and a film about evolution of dogs.
- Compare natural selection and artificial selection.
- Cite evidence to support a claim that explains how natural selection can lead to adaptations.
Lesson Activities:
1. Benchmark 1 (1 hour)
Students will take their first benchmark for the unit of ecology.
2. Science of dogs film
Students will watch the documentary " Science of dogs"
and answer the film questions.
3. How dogs work
Students will read and annotate the article as well as answer the questions in the back of the sheet.
Homework:
Finish writing the CEL paragraph that is in the back of the article sheet.
